All about home
Nice weather today
with beautiful sunshine.
But that reminds me of the rain in my childhood.
It was summer,
the rain splashed away the stuffy weather,
sipped into the wooden door
and brought me with humid air.
The latch kept the heat inside the room.
Looking at the rain sipping through the
I felt quite secure.
Grandpa was murmuring in her dream.
I lay on a sack,
flipped through my Doraemon comic book,
and felt bored at last.
Suddenly I had a brainwave.
I nailed a bucket with broken bottom onto the door,
jump from my bed with a basketball,
and pretend to dunk.
Maybe the rain was so loud,
That grandma did not ever stir in her sleep.
I can always remember trivial things.
Being someone without a sense of security
I feel secure
as soon as I am home.
From 2013, I started to shoot my family’s life.
There is nothing deep,
but snippets of life.
My friends would say
with a photographer to chronicle their life
my family is so lucky.
But they are wrong,
I am the lucky one, really truly.
